St Lords

Formerly owned and operated by influential hospitality leader, Peter Burnett, the Lord of the Isles Tavern has long served the local Geelong community for over four decades.

Throughout 40 years of operation, the venue has secured the grand prize of Victoria’s Best Bistro four times and served everyone from Prime Ministers, AFL Premiership footballers, to the locals who affectionately refer to the venue as the ‘lordies’. Following an acquisition by the Black Rhino Group, the Lord of The Isles temporarily closed in March 2020 for a complete modernization of the facilities including the dining room, bistro, function room, and beer garden. Alongside the redevelopment, the Black Rhino Group rebranded the venue to the ‘St Lords’, paying tribute to the history and reputation of the long-established venue. With months of redevelopment, Monday the 9th of November marked the grand opening of the St Lords tavern, with many locals eagerly awaiting the new and improved facilities and menu.

The Black Rhino Group entrusted Enth Degree Architects to redesign the venue with custom furniture from Identity Furniture.
