The Patch, Tomakin

The Patch, originally known as The Tomakin Sports & Social Club, has undergone extensive improvements and a name change by Tully Heard.

Tully Heard enlisted the design prowess of Pony Design Co, who collaborated previously to establish The Growers, Shoalhaven. The Tomakin Sports & Social Club, having served the community as a gathering place during the Eurobodalla Shire bushfires in late 2019, was due for a well-deserved refresh. Tully Heard envisioned The Patch as a family-friendly modern contemporary dining experience featuring a large alfresco overlooking the nearby Tomaga River. Mammoth Projects completed the refurbishments in late December, 2021, with John Tully looking ‘forward to seeing the venue thrive and become a whole community space, after the traumas of the past few years on the South Coast – especially in the Tomakin area.’

Locals praised the venue for having a “great atmosphere” that “punches well above its weight”. The Patch has already demonstrated that it is “a real asset to the area and guaranteed to become a destination venue on the well worn South Coast trail,” it was further said.
